Blanchett To Appear At Perth Festival

Cate Blanchett and The Triffids will descend on the 2009 Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF).
PIAF artistic director Shelagh Magadza announced the program in Perth last night for the festival, which runs from February 13 to March 8.
Ms Magadza said the 2009 program would bring some of the world’s most innovative artists to Perth.
Cate Blanchett will star in the Sydney Theatre Company’s world premiere season production of The War of the Roses.
WA band The Triffids will join Jose Gonzelez and Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu in the Beck’s Music Box.
