Yum! Brands reports 30 Percent profit jump in China last year
SHANGHAI, March 21 (Xinhua) — Yum! Brands Inc, the world’s largest fast food chain operator, realized a 30 percent profit increase in the Chinese market last year.
The operator of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut stores in China registered 21.5 billion yuan (about 3 billion U.S. dollars) in turnover, according to its China Division.
It has more than 2,500 outlets in about 450 cities with 160,000staff.
KFC operates about 2,100 restaurants nationwide and Pizza Hut plans to expand to 500 outlets by the end of this year.
Yum has been the biggest catering group in China for years.
