Timberlake helping produce NBC pilot

Justin Timberlake — who isn’t exactly hurting from lack of attention from women — is producing an NBC pilot about a bachelor who strikes out with the ladies.

The Grammy-winning pop star is an executive producer on “My Problem with Women,” which follows thirtysomething Jose as he attempts to understand his romantic failures through therapy sessions, Reveille Studios announced Friday.

The show is based on “Mi Problema con las Mujeres,” a Peruvian TV comedy.

Reveille, the production company headed by Ben Silverman before he became NBC’s entertainment chief last year, developed the BBC series “The Office” for NBC and the Spanish-language telenova “Ugly Betty” for ABC.

Timberlake, 27, keeps expanding his reach in Hollywood. The former boy-bander has released two ambitious solo albums; appeared in the films “Alpha Dog” and “Black Snake Moan”; and voiced a character in last year’s animated blockbuster “Shrek the Third.”

Timberlake launched a record label last year, and co-founded the William Rast fashion line with friend Trace Ayala.

Lisa Marie Presley wanted to keep her pregnancy private, but felt she had to say something when photos of her looking heavier were ridiculed in the news media.

“After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant,” the 40-year-old singer wrote on her MySpace page.

Presley and her husband, music producer Michael Lockwood, are expecting a baby next fall, her spokeswoman, Cindy Guagenti, said Friday. It will be the third child for Presley, who has two children from her marriage to ex-husband Danny Keough.

The announcement comes several days after photos of Presley — daughter of Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla — eating lunch in Los Angeles made the media rounds, with the London newspaper The Daily Mail asking: “Like father like daughter? Bloated Lisa Marie is now the double of dad Elvis.”

Guagenti told the Associated Press: “I mean, if you read some of the stories it’s like, ’she’s gonna die like her father,’ ‘her and her mom are in a fight because of her weight’ — that’s not true at all. It’s just awful stuff.”

Presley, who was once married to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage too, said she was “seething” over speculation on her weight gain.

“You know if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result, and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well,” she said.

Another hard-partying Hilton may be cruising closer to jail.

Paris Hilton’s 18-year-old brother was charged Thursday with four misdemeanor counts stemming from his Feb. 12 arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. Barron Nicholas Hilton’s charges include driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and being an unlicensed driver.

Hilton was stopped Feb. 12 after a witness reported seeing a black Mercedes-Benz weaving on Pacific Coast Highway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. He was allegedly carrying a fake driver’s license.

Hilton was booked at the Malibu station and registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent — .08 is the rate at which a driver is legally intoxicated in California.

Hilton was freed on $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned April 14.

Last year Paris Hilton, the 26-year-old reality TV star and hotel heiress, pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. She served a little more than two weeks.
