Sydney Festival 2009 Program Launched Bigger And Bolder
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008
With plans to engage festival-goers in a massive choreographed work, those present on the night will be asked to perform a 30-second dance, choreographed by Australian Dance Theatre artistic director Garry Stewart.
Festival boss Fergus Linehan says the idea was to tap into the fervour for dancing.
Other events include the two-day music festival, All Tomorrow’s Parties, which has been curated by Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and will be held on Cockatoo Island. The line-up includes The Saints, Robert Forster, Laughing Clowns and Spiritualized.
Sydney’s west will be the home of all things family, with the Festival Kids at Parramatta program including US musician Dan Zanes and a puppet show Nargun And The Stars.
